Welcome to the Five Mile web site.  Feel free to look around and discover who we are.  Some of our pages are still under construction, so please be patient -- and come visit again soon! Who We Are The Five Mile Family is called to be the hands and feet of Jesus to our community!  Our desire is that Christ will fill us with his love in such a way that it spills over into every area of our lives -- and into the lives of those around us.  The result is that we will naturally build loving relationships with one another and with our community. We are guided by the words of the Apostle John, "Little Children, let us love, not with words or tongue, but with actions and in truth." (I John 3:18)

  We are also inspired by this 12th century quote by St. Teresa of Avila:

"Christ has no body now on earth but yours, no hands but yours, no feet but yours;
Yours are his eyes through which to look out Christ's compassion to the world;
Yours are the feet with which he is to go about doing good;
Yours are the hands with which he is to bless now!"
