Boise Five Mile
Church of the Nazarene

We are many streams coming together as one river.

Our 10 a.m. English-language Sunday worship is a diverse mix of cultures and backgrounds.

Our 10 a.m. African Sunday worship provides space for our Swahili-speaking community to worship in their heart language.

Occasionally, these congregations gather together for a combined multicultural and multilingual time of worship.

Our children's and youth disciples classes are combined every Sunday at 11:30 following English-language worship.

You are welcome!
You are loved!
You are not alone!

We are a multicultural community

Who are we?

We are rooted in the Wesleyan theological traditions:

The Wesleyan tradition offers a beautifully balanced approach to faith, emphasizing both God's transforming grace and human response. At its heart lies the conviction that salvation is freely offered to all people and that grace actively transforms our hearts, minds, and lives.

We believe that the Christian life is a compelling integration of personal faith with social response—genuine faith naturally flows into compassionate action for vulnerable people, near and far. We recognize that the holy life isn't about sinless perfection but about our love being made complete in Christ; where our hearts become so aligned with God's heart that we increasingly love God and love people with authentic Christlike love.

God is already at work in every person's life before they even know it (that's God's prevenient grace), offering hope that no one is beyond the reach of divine love and transformation. We believe that it is possible to live with the assurance of God's love while also being challenged to live our lives of love boldly in the world.

We are Nazarene

Our mission is to make Christlike disciples among all people everywhere.

We hold to three core values:

  • We are Christian.

  • We are holy.

  • We are missional.

We recognize seven distinct characteristics:

We are family,
Many streams, one river.
Come join us.
